Respect and Sensitivity for the Environment
We are ISO 14001 certified
What does respecting the environment mean for a company? A company can decide to establish, implement and maintain an Environmental Management System in order to monitor each environmental alteration, partially or totally caused by its own activities.
Environment means the context in which the company operates, including air, water, land, natural resources, flora, fauna, humans and their interrelationships. The company's goal must be to avoid (or, if this is not possible, at least minimize) any negative modification of the Environment, partially or totally caused by its activities.
LIMA is certified by the UNI EN ISO 140001 – of 2013.

Protection of the Environment
Only thanks to an effective and timely Quality Management System a company can guarantee its customers full compliance with the requirements and technical characteristics specified in the order. Each material required for the realization of our parts is promptly identified, traced and stored in the warehouse.
Waste Separation
We respect standards and waste separation when we collect plastic waste. We subdivide plastic waste of mechanical working by their material.
Monitoring
During every processing stage, there is an environmental monitoring. Emissions into the atmosphere and wastewater are periodically monitored. Thanks to recurrent internal audits, we can verify the state of the environmental management system.
Materials and Products Control
All the incoming materials are checked and tracked. Products used in the production process do not contain carcinogenic or agents that are dangerous to people’s health and the environment. We use consumable material (oils, degreasing agents, solvents) which are appropriately identified and stored in suitable areas, to avoid involuntary use or spill. We regularly analyse and implement all official regulations.
Production Control
Thanks to the use of renewable energy sources, we can cover the 80% of the total energy needs. All the production data and the use of energy and material is registered in advance into the managerial system and then it is regularly analysed. We keep a healthy, clean and tidy work environment. We carry out regular technical analysis of potential fire hazards, noise, explosive atmosphere, possible presence of asbestos, electromagnetic fields and chemical and carcinogenic hazards.
Management
All the suppliers, involved in environmental management, are carefully monitored. Through integrated management, we are able to make sure that situations of non-compliance are corrected promptly. We guarantee the necessary level of job training regularly, by fixing goals to foster a continuous improvement. Thanks to an effective and precise environmental management system, LIMA is confident that it can ensure the full respect of environmental requirements.
